Join PTSA for the cost of $7 per person. This shows your support of our Lewis PTSA and you will receive free admission to many of our PTSA sponsored events throughout the year. Parent involvement is critical to student learning and success. The Parent Teacher Association shares many thoughts on the importance of parent involvement. According to the Michigan Department of Education,

“Decades of research show that when parents are involved students have higher grades, test scores, and graduation rates, better school attendance, Increased motivation, better self-esteem, lower rates of suspension, decreased use of drugs and alcohol, fewer instances of violent behavior, [and] greater enrollment rates in post-secondary education.”

You can further assist your child in being more successful by providing a well-lit study area each evening, a scheduled time for reading and homework, all of the necessary tools of learning-pencil, paper, notebooks, folders, etc., and daily encouragement and motivation.
